XpressSAR is an American owned and operated company based in Arlington, Virginia and licensed by the Department of Commerce to operate an X-band Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) constellation that will consist of four identical satellites in two inclined orbit planes.
With a planned launch in 2024, the XpressSAR constellation is optimized to provide excellent revisit performance in the cloud-persistent regions of the globe between 48°N and 48°S.
XpressSAR’s mean revisit time is one-to-four hours depending on the latitude.
